What is the ACT?

The ACT is a computer-based multiple-choice university entrance exam created and conducted by the ACT, Inc. and is used by lots of colleges and universities around the world for admissions and scholarship purposes. The aim of this exam is to check how ready a high school student is for the university. Although there is no age limitation for taking the ACT, lots of students prefer to take it when they are at 11th or 12th grade. You are allowed to take the ACT as many as 12 times in total. You may choose the number of exams you wish to take and you can decide which scores to sent to the universities.

  3. Math

  4. Science

  5. Optional Writing (no need for it in Turkish universities)

 

Score

Each of the sections (excluding the optional essay) is scored from 1 to 36 and are averaged for the total score. The optional essay is scored separately.

 

Duration

English: 45 minutes

Reading: 35 minutes

Math: 60 minutes

Science: 35 minutes

Writing (optional): 40 minutes
