What is the SAT?

The SAT is a paper-based multiple-choice university entrance exam created and conducted by the College Board and is used by lots of colleges and universities around the world for admissions and scholarship purposes. The aim of this exam is to check how ready a high school student is for the university. Although there is no age limitation for taking the SAT, lots of students prefer to take it when they are at 11th or 12th grade. You can take the SAT as many times as you wish and decide which scores to sent to the universities.

Score

Each of Math and Evidence-Based Reading and Writing sections is scored from 200 to 800 and are added together for a total score of 400 to 1600. 

 

Duration

Math: 80 minutes

Evidence-Based Reading and Writing: 100 minutes

Note that the SAT system will change as of 2023. The exam will be computer-based and some content will change.
